There is no contemporary elegance without a commitment towards the environment. The desire to develop functional fabrics designed for today’s pace of life is only realised when there is a dedication to produce in the most sustainable way for tomorrow’s generations. The activities of the mill covers the entire supply chain and begins well before work starts in the company’s plants. Wool is a biodegradable and recyclable material suitable for promoting a circular economy: Zignone only selects farms that have respect for animals and their freedom. Every phase of work is carried out with the utmost transparency, guaranteeing complete traceability of each individual lot and control over the substances used (in compliance with the strict ZDHC and GOTS standards). New machinery and optimised methods make it possible to limit CO2 emissions and reduce the mill’s water consumption by up to 0.05 m3 per meter of fabric for a lower environmental impact. Raw and untreated materials, natural resources and the land as well as staff and consumers are treated with great care. This commitment to monitor the entire supply chain has led Zignone to launch its own dedicated label, Green Trace, which will serve as a mark of quality for products that look to properly care for the environment.
